Services

WHAT WE OFFER

At Wide Bay Orthopaedics, we offer a comprehensive range of orthopaedic services tailored to support patients experiencing joint, bone, and soft tissue conditions. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, injury, or age-related degeneration, our goal is to restore mobility, reduce discomfort, and improve your overall quality of life through both surgical and non-surgical treatment options.

Conditions and Treatments

HIP

We offer total hip replacement surgery to relieve pain and restore mobility in patients with severe joint damage from conditions like osteoarthritis or trauma. Dr McGee performs both direct anterior and posterior approaches, chosen based on individual needs.

KNEE

We offer knee replacement surgery to relieve pain and restore mobility in patients with advanced arthritis. Depending on the severity and location of damage, Dr McGee may recommend a total or partial knee replacement. Preoperative CT scans help plan implant size and placement, while tools used during surgery ensure proper balance and alignment.

SHOULDER

We offer a range of surgical treatments for shoulder conditions, including rotator cuff repair, stabilisation procedures, and shoulder replacement. Minimally invasive (arthroscopic) techniques are used where possible to reduce recovery time. Dr McGee performs both total and reverse shoulder replacements depending on your condition, using 3D planning and high-quality implants to restore function and relieve pain.

JOINT

At Dr McGee’s practice, joint replacement surgery incorporates the latest innovations to improve accuracy, reduce recovery times, and deliver the best possible outcomes for patients. Using advanced tools such as 3D templating, computer-aided planning, and robotic-assisted techniques, Dr McGee personalises each treatment and uses minimally invasive approaches to support a smoother, faster recovery.

Locations

Consultations are available in Hervey Bay, Maryborough, and Bundaberg. Each location is equipped to offer patients a comfortable environment with access to a full range of orthopaedic care.

Referral Information

A referral from your General Practitioner (GP) or another specialist is required to book an appointment. This ensures that relevant information such as imaging or previous treatments is available ahead of your consultation.
